Untether was a success!
8 artists over 3 nights

NOGO Arts wants to thank the hundreds of people who came out to support Untether. We raised some money for NOGO, got the word out about our work, and more importantly featured work from transgender, gender noncomforming, and non-binary artists. We are already working on our 2019 events. Click below to see some photos from the three nights of Untether.

Brooklyn Magazine

Brooklyn Magazine, with The Yard, asked NOGO Arts' Executive Director and Founder, Todd Coulter, a few questions. Check out the feature.

About Us

Live Performance

NOGO Arts is always seeking work from, about, and for the LGBTQ community.
We define performance very broadly. Dance, yes. Theater, yes. Something in between, yes. A new script, yes. Performance art, yes, please. Music, yes.  If your work wants a live audience, then we probably think of it as performance.  Let us know what you're thinking about and we will be in touch.

Visual Arts

NOGO Arts wants to celebrate the work of LGBTQ artists and their allies from multiple mediums (painting, sculpture, installation, etc.).  NOGO Arts presents group shows as well as showcasing work in fully curated digital exhibitions. Recognizing that LGBTQ folks may not always produce work in traditional mediums, we want to explore different ways to get your work in front of the public.

NOGO Arts publishes a quarterly online journal titled Apricot. In addition to supporting NOGO Arts' larger mission, Apricot seeks to blur the lines between high/low, artist/scholar, and other basic binaries. Articles, essays, and other work based in the humanities are accepted on a rolling basis. Click below for specific calls and more information .
