November 8-10, 2018 at the Muriel Schulman Theater
NOGO Arts’ inaugural performance event came and went over a fall weekend in Greenpoint Brooklyn. We welcomed enthusiastic audiences, including invited groups from the Ali Forney Center, SAGE, and the Trinity/LaMama program. Thanks to the generous support or several patrons, NOGO Arts also raised several hundred dollars in new donations.
Most importantly, we were able to present the work of eight trans and gender noncomforming artists from across different disciplines ranging from puppetry to choreography. NOGO Arts was fortunate to present work from: Maybe Burke, a New York premiere from Ya-Ya Fairley, Delaney McDonough, Diego Vela, Illinois based Elliot Emadian, Iowan artist Violet Austerlitz, EV Fitzgerald, and Kit Yan.
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported their work and helped us reaffirm the need to always make time and space for LGBTQ arts and humanities. Click through the gallery at the left to see some of the work.
